AFReG Devotions 2023
Devotions are written by AFReG's Global Board Members and will focus on Christ-centered leadership.
Changing as we behold Him. The God of all creation; who was and is and is to come, the beginning and the end, the Alpha and Omega, the first and last. The One who reigns in all eternity, God above every authority, power, throne, and authority. He is the One who has invited us to rest our gaze on Him so that we will surmount the challenges of our day and reign in life through the gift of righteousness and the abundance of grace He gives. Now more than ever, we are invited to focus on this all-sufficient God – from whom, through whom, and to whom are all things. If we are to effectively influence the world around us and stand firm, we must not falter in our pursuit of Him, and we must prioritize Him above every other thing. He must be the big stone around which everything else gets its cue. After all, He is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together. So, who is He? The Bible is replete with many titles of God (over 650!), each providing a rendition of who He is and what He does. Jesus Christ came to earth from heaven to provide the perfect pattern for us who live on earth. His birth, His life, His relationships, and His mission have a lot to teach us for our own walk on earth and especially in leadership. How are we to relate to Him – so that we can grow in our knowledge of Him and attain the full stature of Jesus Christ? The knowledge of Him translates to a radiance of Him that is unmistakable as we walk as He did here on earth. The Bible also gives us accounts of several leaders who walked admirably in this way and from whom we can learn. What are some things we can learn about Christ-centered leadership?
